These are some of the photographers and their work that served as an inspiration for taking and editing the pictures. Many of these show the different use of lighting and editing. Most of them were or would be featured in a mainstream fashion magazine rather than the independent one. However, with the subtle use of these effects the final outcome could be appropriate to the other types of magazines.
Steven Klein
First image is used as an inspiration when considering the concept for the ‘Distorted Beauty Image’ theme. The other photographs are indirectly related to the ‘Moon/Space’ theme. I was particularly inspired by the use of lighting and the manipulation of the colours so that the end result would be the metallic effect.
Finally, the last image (the following one) is also related to the Moon/Space theme, but with a different concept (‘White’ theme). This photograph conveys the message through minimalism (approach to the colours featured) and emphasized elements of fantasy.
